Polarity Therapy

Polarity therapy was developed by Dr Randolph Stone (1890-1981), one of the pioneers of holistic health care. Having trained across a range of therapies, he held degrees in oestopathic, chiropractic and naturopathic medicine. Over sixty years, he studied and tested many health theories across the globe, successfully combining both ancient and modern theories and techniques.

He taught that the physical body, emotions, mind and the spirit are all interdependent, and that each person is responsible for their own health, and that very simple steps can be taken to improve one’s wellness. Intelligent living energy is the foundation of health.

Polarity therapy is a natural health care system that works with the human energy field. Energy fields and currents exist everywhere in nature, and polarity threapy asserts that the flow and balance of energy in the human body is the foundation of good health.

Energy balancing has been used for thousands of years and is a central concept in many ancient and traditional health care systems such as Ayurvedic medicine from India, and Chinese medicine. Modern scientific research has, and continues to provide new understandings to the health benefits and powerful effects of Polarity therapy.

Polarity therapy is very adaptable and can be used as a stand alone therapy or can be successfully incorporated with many other body therapies. During a treatment session the client and practitioner work together to identify and address physical, emotional and mental energy blocks in a supportive and safe environment. In Polarity therapy bodywork, various contacts are made to stimulate and balance the body’s electromagnetic fields. The practitioner may also help the client to process any feelings that may arise and assist them to develop specific strategies for increasing wellness. By this process the client becomes increasingly empowered in their own healing journey.

Four therapeutic techniques are utilised within Polarity therapy, to naturally and effectively uplift body, mind and spirit.

  • Diet – A Polarity therapy diet promotes cleansing and longevity. Fresh wholesome foods, adapted to individual needs
  • Exercise – Polarity Yoga is a series of helpful techniques to create relaxation and balance
  • Self-awareness – Polarity therapy practitioners encourage clients to understand themselves and to view the world from a positive perspective.
